The scope of this standard<br \/>\nincludes the following topics:<\/p>\n<p>Descriptions of the specified functional capabilities that<br \/>\nprovide wireless telecommunications services across the BS-BS<br \/>\ninterface as defined in the TR45 Network Reference Model;<\/p>\n<p>Descriptions of the division of responsibility of the functions<br \/>\nprovided between the source BS and the target BS, without<br \/>\nprescribing specific implementations;<\/p>\n<p>Descriptions of the BS-BS interface standard that support DS-41<br \/>\nand cdma2000 <sup>\u00ae<\/sup>1 systems.<\/p>\n<p>1 cdma2000 <sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is the trademark for the technical<br \/>\nnomenclature for certain specifications and standards of the<br \/>\nOrganizational Partners (OPs) of 3GPP2. Geographically (and as of<br \/>\nthe date of publication), cdma2000<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is a registered<br \/>\ntrademark of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA-USA)<br \/>\nin the United States.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this document is to provide the standard for<br \/>\ninterfacing a Base Station (BS) with one or more BSs. This document<br \/>\ndefines the functional capabilities, including services and<br \/>\nfeatures, of the specified interface.
