It deals entirely with lighting<br \/>\n and does not give advice on construction. It is not intended to be applied<br \/>\n to existing lighting systems until such systems are redesigned. This<br \/>\n Practice revises and replaces the previous edition which was published in<br \/>\n 1983 and reaffirmed in 1993. <\/p>\n<p>Roadway lighting is intended to produce<br \/>\n quick, accurate, and comfortable seeing at night that will safeguard,<br \/>\n facilitate, and encourage vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
