This document specifies a titrimetric method for the determination of acid value in light coloured Fatty Acid Methyl Esters, hereinafter referred as FAME.<\/p>\n

It allows the determination of acid value within a range of 0,10 mg KOH\/g to 1,00 mg KOH\/g.<\/p>\n

For the purposes of this document, the terms \u201c% ( m<\/i>\/ m<\/i>)\u201d and \u201c% ( V<\/i>\/ V<\/i>)\u201d are used to represent respectively the mass fraction and the volume fraction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For oils and fats the determination of acid value is specified in EN ISO 660<\/span><\/span> [ 1<\/span>].<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
