Hydrogen sulfide if present may also be determined. With a 12 I gas sample the method gives a minimum detection level of 14 mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup> (as sulfur) for mercaptans and 7 mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>(as sulfur) for hydrogen sulfide.
