It does not cover parameters resulting from recent developments such as jet and very high <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">frequency<\/small> ventilation and oscillation.<\/p>\n<p>Motive power units for <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">lung ventilators<\/small> together with <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">resuscitators<\/small>, <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">respiratory therapy ventilators<\/small>, <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">external body ventilators<\/small>, <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">rocking apparatus<\/small> and <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">electrostimulators<\/small> are outside the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>The object of this standard is to permit the direct comparison of <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">lung ventilators<\/small> of different manufacture, and to standardize methods for the determination of compliance with the manufacturer&#8217;s declared performance.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Includes test methods to be used to measure parameters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Medical electrical equipment.
