{"id":250231,"date":"2024-10-19T16:30:19","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T16:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-pd-iec-ts-60479-22017\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T11:43:34","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T11:43:34","slug":"bsi-pd-iec-ts-60479-22017","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-pd-iec-ts-60479-22017\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI PD IEC\/TS 60479-2:2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;60479<\/span> <\/span> describes the effects on the human body when a sinusoidal alternating current in the frequency range above 100&nbsp;Hz passes through it.<\/p>\n<p>The effects of current passing through the human body for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>alternating sinusoidal current with DC components;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>alternating sinusoidal current with phase control;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>alternating sinusoidal current with multicycle control<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>are given but are only deemed applicable for alternating current frequencies from 15&nbsp;Hz up to 100&nbsp;Hz.<\/p>\n<p>Means of extending the frequency of applicability of pure sinusoids to a frequency of 150&nbsp;kHz are given, supplementing the data in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;TS&nbsp;60479\u20111<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Means of examining random complex irregular waveforms are given.<\/p>\n<p>This document describes the effects of current passing through the human body in the form of single and multiple successive unidirectional rectangular impulses, sinusoidal impulses and impulses resulting from capacitor discharges.<\/p>\n<p>The values specified are deemed to be applicable for impulse durations from 0,1&nbsp;ms up to and including 10&nbsp;ms.<\/p>\n<p>This document only considers conducted current resulting from the direct application of a source of current to the body, as does <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;TS&nbsp;60479\u20111<\/span> <\/span> and <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;TS&nbsp;60479\u20113<\/span> <\/span>. It does not consider current induced within the body caused by its exposure to an external electromagnetic field.<\/p>\n<p>This basic safety publication is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;Guide&nbsp;104<\/span> <\/span> and <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/IEC&nbsp;Guide&nbsp;51<\/span> <\/span>.
