This standard defines the functional safety requirements of traffic signal control equipment. The electrical safety requirements, conditions of failure, interfacing with external equipment, and functional test methods are contained in (reference No of the parallel CENELEC document). This standard covers the functional safety requirements, of traffic signals control equipment permanently and temporarily installed, but excluding portable traffic control equipment.Applicable to traffic signal control equipment, permanent and temporary, to control conflicting traffic both vehicular and pedestrian. Excludes portable equipment.
